E MINI MISSION 17

We introduced you to CAFMACP in E Mini Mission 7 and we've been doing a few things to spur them on and to spur others to help them out. The latest initiative is this t-shirt that we designed to raise awareness and to raise funds for them.

We've had two pieces of news from Liberia in the last couple of weeks that highlights the challenges and dangers of living in Liberia and contrasts what it's like there and here.

Pauline was in the capital Monrovia and someone on a motorbike attempted to snatch her bag. They didn't get the bag but Pauline broke her collar bone in the fray. This comes a few weeks after Pauline's friend Eleanor, who runs an orphanage, broke her pelvis in a motorbike accident. Both are on the mend but the work has been disrupted a bit and they've had medical bills to pay.

Naturally, there has been some anxiety here especially for her family. Being so many miles away, we might think that we are powerless to do anything but that's not the case...

What can we do?

1) We can pray - there are no distances or geographical barriers in the spiritual realm. Pray for speedy recoveries. Pray that the work and the children might not suffer. Pray that good comes out of these incidents.

2) We can encourage - you can send a message to Pauline on pauline.scott@virgin.net.

3) We can give - CAFMACP doesn't have a UK bank account yet but if you want to make a donation, contact me at jim@spurprojects.org.uk and I'll explain how that can be done and give you the details.

4) We can go - some short term visits have already been arranged to Liberia (we hope to give you an update about a recent visit soon) and there will be more happening next year.

And, of course, you can buy a t-shirt (£10 from each sale will go to CAFMACP). Guys, you can get yours here and, girls, follow this link.
