As Christians, we are all encouraged to “spur one another on to love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24). For some, this comes almost naturally but for some of us, myself included, we need a bit of help and encouragement to do it. This takes us beyond the weekly preaching and teaching we receive and into the realm of the individual Christian, the daily lives that we lead, the personal relationship that we have with our Lord and Saviour, and the personal relationships that we have with other Christians.
SPUR Christian Projects has been set up to spur Christians on and to develop a variety of ways to encourage and challenge Christians to spur each other on.
We'll be running a number of varied projects, each of them with that goal to spur Chistians on.
In the meantime, I want to challenge you to consider how to spur a Christian friend on, and then, DO IT.
It might be a word of encouragement, it might be an offer to get involved in an area of Christian service or a challenge to support a Christian mission or charity or the offer of a book that you’ve been challenged by read or an invitation to pray and/or study together or………………… or………………….. – you fill in the blanks.
